Sunlighten full-spectrum infrared sauna at Uprise Health

Service

Infrared Sauna in Richmond, Melbourne

A full-spectrum Sunlighten infrared sauna for recovery, relaxation and a deep, detoxifying sweat.

Our Sunlighten infrared sauna is quite different to the traditional hot-rocks-and-water experience. The first thing most people notice is a stress-relieving release through the muscles — tension melts away and the deep penetrating warmth is soothing on aches and pains.

In contrast to traditional high-heat saunas, Solocarbon infrared heating is highly customisable, so you can enjoy a deep sweat at lower, more comfortable temperatures. With regular use, people often report clearer skin, improved circulation and deeper, more restful sleep.

Our Sunlighten infrared sauna is located at the Uprise Health Richmond clinic at 136 Lennox St, a short walk from Richmond and East Richmond stations and easily reached from Cremorne, Abbotsford, Burnley and the wider inner east of Melbourne. Patients of our Bundoora clinic are welcome to book a sauna session in Richmond alongside their usual care.

Our approach

Near infrared (NIR)

The shortest wavelength, penetrating the skin's surface most effectively — used for cell rejuvenation, skin renewal and wound healing.

Mid infrared (MIR)

A longer wavelength reaching deeper into soft tissue, helping expand blood vessels and increase circulation to support recovery.

Far infrared (FIR)

The longest wavelength, raising core body temperature to stimulate a deep, detoxifying sweat.

Is infrared the same as UV or microwave radiation?
No. Infrared heat is the natural radiant heat emitted by the sun, and is entirely different to microwaves or ultraviolet radiation. It has been used safely in health and human movement applications for decades.
How often should I use the sauna?
Many people use the sauna two to three times a week, though this varies. Your practitioner can advise what suits your recovery goals.
Can I add a sauna session to another appointment?
Yes — a sauna session pairs well before or after chiropractic or remedial massage. Select both when booking online.
Where is your infrared sauna located?
